RECORDING SPACE

The recording space is in LGA’s barn. The unfinished, rustic and majestic space is engineered by Rashaan Carter. He has spent years finding the sweet spots in the barn. The barn is equipped for acoustic, amplified or electronic sessions. Because of the nature of the space, full isolation is impossible– recordings pick up the sounds of the natural world around it. We do not have a piano, yet.

The retreats are self-directed. There is no requirement for when and how long you record. You can use your time as you wish at Looking Glass Arts.

SESSION SCHEDULE 

Session I: August 12-16

Session II: August 19-23 

Session III: September 20-24

 

Hospitality 

Your retreat includes: A private bedroom in the Farm House (with a shared bathroom), three meals a day prepared by the host, and self-directed recording time in the rustic barn studio with the recording engineer. There is high speed fiber optic internet in the Farm House. The barn has no wi-fi or cell reception.

HONORARIUM 

Each group is offered a $500 honorarium.
